Our Company 

Founded on January 1, 1928 by John W. McNabb, McNabb Pharmacy, Inc. was originally located in Fitchburg, MA.  An Irish immigrant from Claremorris in county Mayo, John W. McNabb started a family legacy that is more than 80 years old.

McNabb Pharmacy was founded with the main principles of providing the pharmacy needs as well as the very best service to the community.   In 1946, after a devastating fire ripped through the Fairbanks Building, in which McNabb Pharmacy was located, the company moved to its present location on Main Street in Townsend, MA.   At this point, John W’s son, John J. McNabb, operated the company with his wife Charlotte L. (Busby) McNabb.  In an historic building erected in 1867, McNabb Pharmacy settled in on the corner of Main and Bow.

McNabb Pharmacy is currently owned and operated by Terrence M. McNabb as he has done since the 1970’s.  With almost a century of business gone by, McNabb Pharmacy is a dynamic company with a bright future.  In recent years, the fourth generation of the family has joined the business to help continue the tradition of service to the community.   With the new leadership of Karen McNabb-Noon, along with the help of Shannon Tesini and Colin McNabb, McNabb Pharmacy is expanding into new ventures to better serve the community.
